Old Air Products Hurricane A/C, Heat & Defrost System for 1947-1955 Chevrolet and GMC Trucks, with Aluminum Controls
Custom Hurricane A/C, Heat & Defrost system for 1947 to early 1955 Chevrolet and GMC trucks with compressor mounted on passenger side of engine. Custom mounting plate attaches the Hurricane unit to firewall using original heater mounting holes. The A/C & Heater fittings pass through the original factory blower motor hole with a custom rubber grommet. Our compact design allows you to retain the cowl vent and a majority of the glove box.
Custom Molded Plenum fits along bottom edge of the dash. Plenum includes rectangular louvers and electronic slide control with satin aluminum face. An additional underdash louver is also included to for the left side of the steering column. If desired the plenum can be painted or covered with upholstry to match the interior of of the truck.
Complete System includes a rotary compressor, mounting bracket and condenser/drier assembly with custom tubes for a passenger side mounted compressor. A variety of compressor and mounting brackets are available to fit the popular Chevrolet V8 & 6 cylinder engines. The A/C hose kit is made with barrier style hose and o-ring style fittings.

*Compressor bracket is included for most Chevrolet engines, please provide: Engine year, size, block type, water pump length and belt type used so we can provide the appropriate bracket for your engine. Matching alternator & power steering brackets are available along with GM Steel and billet aluminum pulleys.
