Description

Custom Heat Cool & Defrost Unit for 1947-early 1953 Chevrolet and GMC trucks with compressor mounted on driver side of engine and horizontal slots in speaker grill. Dash louvers fit neatly behind original speaker grill along with two underdash louvers for each side of the dash. Blower switch and thermostat also mount in the speaker grill. Rotary electronic switches to operate dash/defrost and heater functions can be mounted into original choke and throttle holes. Custom mounting plate attaches the Hurricane unit to firewall using original heater mounting holes. The A/C & Heater fittings pass through the original factory blower motor hole with a custom rubber grommet. Compact design allows you to retain the cowl vent and a majority of the glove box.

Complete System includes a rotary compressor, mounting bracket and condenser/drier assembly with custom tubes for a driver side mounted compressor. A variety of compressor and mounting brackets are available to fit most popular chevrolet V8 & 6 cylinder engines. The AC hose kit is made with barrier style hose and oring style fittings.

Pressure Safety Switch - Upgrade available for Trinary pressure switch for vehicles using electric condenser and/or radiator fan.

*Compressor bracket is included for most chevrolet engines, please provide: Engine year, Size, Block type, Water Pump Length and belt type used so we can provide the appropriate bracket for your engine. Matching alternator & power steering brackets are available along with GM Steel and billit aluminum pulleys.
